About the scheme

The Community Car Scheme operates from offices at Christ Church under the direction and control of Christ Church PCC, and has done so since October 2006.

The Scheme offers a vital transport service for the frail, elderly and disabled in Stamford, Bourne and surrounding villages. Whether it is a shopping trip which is required or a GP / hospital visit the Car Scheme is able to help.

The Scheme Co-ordinators manage a bank of wonderful volunteer drivers who give their time freely to take members to various appointments. All volunteer drivers are interviewed, fully trained, police checked and carry ID badges at all times.
